Our ideas might sound a bit grand upon first reading: We want to save the world. And we want to try and transform the Rhenish mining area into a hotspot for the environmentally friendly energy economy of the future.
Our Ideas to Save the World
Open online presentation
As part of Forschungszentrum Jülich’s “Science Online” series, we attempt to explain who we are, what we do, and how we are aiming to play a role in establishing an environmentally friendly future.
The presentation will take place at 15:00 on Thursday and is free to access.
You can access the presentation here.
We are Forschungszentrum Jülich’s new Institute for a Sustainable Hydrogen Economy (INW) and the Helmholtz Cluster for a Sustainable and Infrastructure-Compatible Hydrogen Economy (HC-H2).
And we can say this much already: We have a lot of exciting ideas. However, we cannot achieve our goals on our own. Without the work of researchers at the Institute of Energy and Climate Research, for example, and without many other cooperation partners, we would find ourselves in a void. And if there is a lack of public willingness to implement an energy transition, then we do not stand a chance anyway.
In this presentation, we talk about our hydrogen ideas through which we hope to contribute to the fight against human-induced global warming. The presentation is open to anyone interested.
