Do you know what dimethyl ether (DME) is? It is the propellant gas that helps to propel the fragrance from a deodorant can to where it should go. DME is also a potential solution for the transportation of hydrogen over long distances. This is the conclusion of a paper co-authored by researchers from Forschungszentrum Jülich.
